Sick ....

Seem like November is not a good month for me this year. After my handphone is being stolen, now I get sick. My whole family was sick. Start by my eldests son having a high fever, cough and flu, follow by my hubby ... then continue by my youngest son and now is my turn. Being sick for 5 days already. Didn’t do any stitching yet. Feel tired, lazy and sleepy too.

Hope I can get well soon.

I'm sad ... really ... really sad. I lost my handphone last Thursday. The last time I recall using my handphone was; I put it on top of my hard disc to recharge it. I always doing that and never lost it before. I strongly believe that my colleague will never do that to me... It's cleaner that I suspect did it but I don't have any evidence.

The only hope is going to the CCTV room to see who the culprite is but hopeless because the CCTV that install in my office is not functioning yet. Such a stupid management. What for they keep on putting the notice here and there saying that the entire place was cover by CCTV but actually is not. The only hope that I was spoil and I'm sure that I can't get my handphone back.

Every time I try to find a new phone on the handphone shop... but whenever I saw the same brand with my handphone I feel very sad. Until now I haven't get any to replace it. It is not only the phone that I treasure much but the think that store inside ... like family & friend contact, all the important messages and my family picture inside.

I hope and pray hard that one day the culprit will get the same thing that I have face now... being lost on the think that you love and treasure most.

I received Paul's RR from Vero last week. He chooses Dragon from Dragon Dreams design as his theme and Paul is so kind to attach the kreinik floss together for us to easy stitch. So this is what I’ve stitch. I choose “Dragon of Air” because most of the thread being use is blue. Blue is my favorite color.

It just takes me less then 3 days to finish it. The funny thing when I finish this RR is .. most of my family and friends say that it is a seahorse and doesn’t look like dragon … lol. What ever it is … I’ve done my part and thanks to Paul for choosing this theme to enable me to have a chance to stitch Dragon Dreams design. I think I’ll stitch the other 3 dragons again for my own collection … *wink.

Tea Cup Sampler

This is what I have done for Vero's RR. At first I don't like this tea cup and I though I choose a wrong one to stitch. After finish stitching, the color is so light and not cheerful at all. I feel boring. But no choice … I have to finish it … I start back stitch the cup and outer edge of the plate … I get excited. The piece turn out alive ... I mean .. look more real .... *wink. Then I can’t wait to finish the backstitch for the leaves and lastly the vines … After everything is done … I was so happy.. happy .. happy .. Not believe me .. then have a look … but I guess the real piece look more beautiful compare to pic.

Floss Tag

Secondly, I want to show my first try on Floss Tag. I saw a lot of stitcher making floss tag. So I decided to try out one. It’s fun, easy to make and finish very fast. I finished it with my way because I couldn’t find eyelet tool and puncher here. Anyway, the result is not so bad … :)

Now .. I have to start stitch my Rose Sampler for part 10, 11 & 12 while waiting Vero to send Paul's RR to me.

Hey everyone! I'm back. Wow, time sure flies. It has been more than a month I didn’t post any of my stitching progress. Thank you for all your kind words and messages. Em .. I’m very sure that I'm not pregnant. Not from now as my youngest son is still young and need a lot of my attention. There is nothing happen on me just want to give myself a good rest and put more attention to my children.

My Beloved from A Stitcher’s Hand has done this far. Maybe for some of you it is boring but for me .. I like it. I have a hard time to finish this 2 part because I keep on miss count some box. End up I have to restitch again … I have now completed the top section of “Beloved”.

Second, I manage to finish a small tote bag. The design is a freebie from Lizzie*Kate.

That is all from me for the moment. Hope everyone is well and getting lots of stitching done.

I join the RR organize by Needle & Craft group. Only 4 of us .. me, Vero, Janet & Paul. I choose fruit as my theme and it’s a freebie from Charles Craft. I stitch strawberries and there is another 3 more fruit that my RR friends can choose … citrus, grapes & peaces. You can download it here. All the color that been choose was wonderful & striking.

Since today is the mailing date, so I post it out to Janet and hope she can received it early and have a plenty time to stitch it.

Here is the photo of my square. I like it very much and hope to frame and put it on my kitchen when it going home next year. Hemmm .. still long way to go huh :)Sorry for the poor image. A few stitch ...

I have put some stitch on some of my cross stitch work. Feel so tired and I can’t stitch must this few days. My youngest son is not feeling well and has to take care of him. Beside that he has change his night sleeping time and drag until 12.00 to 1.00 pm midnight to sleep. God... Have to entertain him until that hour continues for several days… exhausted … exhausted.

Although having a tiring day .. I feel not comfortable if I didn’t touch and stitch my cross stitch.. Maybe because I use to it already.. Even though I can only spent for a few minute for it.. I’ll go for it.. J There is a lot of chart out there is awaiting for me .. so I have to be fast .. lol.

First up : Here I show you first part of the Beloved design … by A Stitcher's Hand Collection. It’s only using DMC 310 (black) but I like it much. So much easy to work using 1 color thread and save a lot of time. Show time …

Next up : Rose Sampler 2008 from EMS Cross Stitch Board. Cool. This chart has come to part 9 and that mean we have 3 more months to go before we can have all complete sampler. Every time I see the part is ready.. I can’t stop my self to work on it and the result … gorgeous.

Gift to Angie ...

It's save for me to post the pic of the gift I make for Angie as her birthday gift. I suppose to post this earlier but because of my office network is down .. so I can't make it.

Well I post the gift to Angie last Monday and it arrived just in time on the actual day of her birthday on 29th August. Glad she like the gift I specially make for her. Here you go ...

I make a small bag for her and choose Lizzie Kate design call S13 Sisters Forever. It was just a small bag and I hope she can use it to carry all her stitching stuff wherever she want to go ... *wink. Choose a light lace to finish it and it turns out very well.

Another one is scissor fob. I can't remember where I get the pattern from ... It has been long time ago when I finished this chart but I didn't turn it out with something useful ... :). Since the chart with the L*K is similar to this one so I think it will be great that I can finished it to Angie as a gift.

Yesterday I received a wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous and what can I say … perfect MA from Wendy. It’s really worst to wait although the date for sending out the MA has been due for so long. Thanks to Wendy to stitch the MA for me..

Show time. Opppsss .. this is MA exchange organise by Wendy for Needles & Crafts group.

I choose my theme as “Quaker” because I haven’t had any collection on Quaker MA yet. So Wendy comes out with the design on the MA and she is using Needle Odyssey – Dip & Twist Overdyes. As you can see from the picture she match the overdye floss with the same color of the fabric.. Isn’t it is cool.. ;)

Beside the MA.. she also send over to me DMC thread collection starting from no. 150 to 169. Really kind of her. FYI, I order the thread from her to add on my stash collection but she sends to me the thread as a gift and she say as a punishment for her from being late. How lucky I’m. he he he ..

Another gift from her is Silk Handkerchief. Hemmm .. I really jumping happily and hope to have exchange with you again, Wendy … *wink. Thanks one again for the lovely MA and all the wonderful gift.

I've done a small finished lately. It's a small bag and it's look stunning ... *wink.

This is a Tempus Fugit design I stitched earlier on. Thought I want to follow the website to finish it as stitcher's wallet but I don't have enough Carrie's Thread call "New Vision" to finish it. End up I think it would be perfect if I complete it as an embellished bag so I finished this during my weekend. I think its look very feminine with pink string, pink rose's fabric and white lace.

This is how I saw my bag to flip in the string. It's simple and just ties the end of the string for it to stick on the bag.

Beside that, I also start a new project call Wake Up Prayer by Stoney Creek Collection. This is the progress after a few day I work on it.

MA to Janet

I received an email from Janet saying that she received my MA. Happy so happy ... at least I know that my MA is arrived save and sound to Janet hand. Thanks to Wendy helping me resend the MA to Janet as our local post office here not allow us to post the MA.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all my friend who visit my blog and put some comment on my 1826 Sampler. Really appreciate it.

As I wrote on the last post that I was concentrate on my CdC and I manage to finished it. Pheww .. I was so pround as I have finished all my WIP and I going to start a new project soon.

Here is a photo on my finished Cirque des Cercles. The color look amazing and I love it very much. This is a very nice piece to work with and I'm sure stitchers out there will enjoy stitching it just like I do.

I’m very happy .. happy .. today. At last, I manage to finished my 1826 Sampler after a long .. long .. way … since I started on July 9th 2008. Wow .. that is nearly 1 year I've take to finished it. Thanks to all friend who always visit my blog and give me encouragement until I can done until this far.

This is really tough work I must say.. lie if I say that it’s easy as you can see I’m using only 2 colors .. black and variegate red (DMC 115). I just enjoy myself and using my pleasure time to stitch it so I will not get boring and can finished it without any pressure.

Well, I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all the 1826 Sampler SAL members … Margaret, Emily, Rose and Zohrah. We keep on updated one another on our SAL and this will help to burn our spirit when we are not in the mood to stitch the project.

Without further note, I would like to show you my sampler and I really love … love .. love … the whole pieces and I’m glad that I have choose the 2 threads to finished this sampler. Have a look everyone. I will only send this piece for frame once my new house is done so I can mix and match the frame with the color of my wall.

After this I going to stitch Rose Sampler for Part 7 that is out yesterday. Stay tune with me friends and I gonna update my CdC very soon. Going to complete it as I need to put some more stitch on it *wink.

I didn’t realize that it has been more than a week since my last update. My life has been so busy this day. DH, kids & hobbies takes up almost all of the 24 hours provided.

First I finished one of my old projects into pinkeep. This is my first try to finished a finished piece into pinkeep .. a thing that I wanted to try for so long … At the moment, I'm not really satistied with the outcome ... There is always having some place for improvement and hope to make a better one in future.

So far this is what I have done with my 1826 Sampler. Kinda speed it up because I've be hold this sampler for 8 months already. March is coming and I still have about 40% to finished the whole piece.

The more I stitch it ... the more I love this sampler and never feel regret to start it. I wonder how is the progress of the sampler from all my SAL friend but this is how my 1826 sampler look.

Tempus Fugit !!!

I don’t know whether you all ever encounter to this website or not. Now they are provided a free SAL chart for us to download free.

For more detail, you may check it out from this website Tempus Fugit. I was too excited to stitch on this chart so over the weekend, I manage to finished it. It was a bit hard time for me to complete it although we see the chart was quite simple. I keep on miscount the box and end up, keep restitch again and again.

For those who wish to stitch the chart, please take note that the "W" alphabet is missing. Guess what, while I’m stitching this, my older son interrupts me and read all the alphabet. Suddenly he told me that “Mummy, the alphabet is wrong. It doesn’t have "W" on it.”. Then I have a look and encounter the mistake but luckily I haven’t stitch until that part yet. End up I manage to add the "W" on chart and shift the "X" together with the same line for alphabet "Y" & "Z".

If you don’t mind for the missing "W", you can just continue by stitching the whole chart without doing anything. And now, is the show off time.

Another update for today. This is how my 1826 Sampler look. Still have long way to go and I can't wait to finished it. The real look is more perfect that the pic that I take. I must say that I really love the way it turn out for this moment and hope to put more stitch on it during my long leave for this coming Chinese New Year celebration. Here you go ...

First of all, thanks everyone for the wonderful and encouraging word throught out my finishing 3 Things Sampler. Really appreciated it and happy to have all of you who visit my site often. :) Thank you ... thank you.

I've done my part 2 for the Rose Sampler 2008, a freebie from EMS Cross Stitch Board over the weekend. It's so enjoy to stitch this sampler as I no need to change my thread often. Only use 3 colour and you can get a whole wonderful look.

Here are the whole look of the part 1 and 2. Beautiful. I'm using DMC 814 to replace the original blue thread from Ellen. Check it out.

Everyone join me and dance !!!

It is such a relief to have finished stitching 3 Things Sampler. It's been 7 1/2 months for me to work and finish this sampler. Such a long way huh .... I must say that it was real fun and enjoy to stitch it :D I am happy as a pea really.

Thank you for all the encouraging comments I've received throughout my journey to this day and I am ever so thankful to have done one this stage to see the wonderful result of my sampler. Please won't you all wonderful people join me in my little dance :)

Crazy.. real crazy. Our internet line was really crazy for the pass two day. I’ve a hard time to log in to view, read and post message. Really boring … phewww … Since the line was a little bit ok now … I would like to update some of my XS project.

Yup … I have decided and start a new project call “Rose Sampler 2008”. I’m sure a lot of you already know and have visit EMS Cross Stitch Board. Ellen comes out with a new freebie that can be downloading now. It is beautiful and of cause will have a long way to go before you can see the whole finish chart. That is why I choose to stitch it because you don’t have much commitment on it. Just need to stitch one chart a month and move to 2nd chart for the next month. Come join me for the SAL and I’m sure everyone will enjoy and can’t wait to see the finishing on the whole chart in different of color.

I hope it is not too late for me to wish everyone that visits my blog a happy and joyous 2008. Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments & visits during 2007.

It has been a wonderful year of 2007. I have completed a lot of my own project like ornament, pillow, bag, bellpull, biscornu, bourse, a few pouch, mattress pincushion and 2 samplers from LHN. I have complete 2 exchanges - cushion cover exchange and card exchange.

As for this year, I would like to concentrate more on sampler and a couple of larger pieces. Not forgeting that I need to finished 2 samplers that I start last year - 3 things sampler and 1826 sampler. Feel sad that I could get it done this year as a lot of thing coming up beside busy with my youngest boy that now is already 11 months.

Thank you once again for keeping coming back my blog - it makes my blogging so much fun, knowing people want to visit me always.

I'm hoping that the year of 2008 will be fill with all wonderful thing with our hearts desire.

Wedding Bells

Just finished stitch this Wedding Sampler call "Wedding Bells" by Joan Elliott for Design Works Crafts.

It was a gift to my colleague, Valencia who going to end her single life by this end of the year and as I already promise her that I going to stitch something for her ... here you go. I just love this design because it look so cheerful with the beautiful color choose by Joan. It doesn't require a lot of thread and involve a little bit of french knot.

Hope Valencia will love the wedding sampler that I specially stitch for her.

CCE from Lody

I really do a happy dance yesterday when I finally received a package that send by Lody, USA to me for the Cushion Cover Exchange (CCE) organize by me for NEEDLES & CRAFTS Group a few months ago.

At first, I though that I will never receive the CCE from Lody again seem she already sends one for me on August but it never arrives until today. Knowing that she going to send a replacement to me and I can’t afford to lost it for second time, I’m suggesting her to send the package to Margaret in KL and asking Margaret favor to resend the package to me. I don’t mind to responsible for the postage. And YES !!! It work and special thanks to Margaret who willing to take the trouble and resend the package to me. I really appreciate it.

Hemm … is showing time. Wanna know what I get from Lody. Here you go. First is the cushion cover she makes for me. I was really touching the way Lody make and finished the cushion cover. I was three or four in one cushion cover where you can use both inside and outside the cushion cover. The first cross stitched piece is padded & detachable. I can use the green (lining) or reddish background. I can actually use it by itself as a trivet.. etc. The other side has quilted / appliqué piece. How lucky I’m to see such a pro work and it’s belong to me. Don’t belive me .. please see the picture below … but as usual picture will not really show the real look of the think .. It will always good to see and touch the thing itself …*wink.

On top of that I also receive a lot .. and lot of goodies from her. This is what I get.. Quickie patterns from Just Nan, Jeremiah Junction, Country Cross Stitch, Emie Bishop, and a half bond size booklet with small patterns. 7 copies of Cross Stitch Country Crafts Magazine, 4 pieces of fabric (14ct Black, Green and cream Aida & 25ct Lugana) and 12 floss of DMC threads in green and red … just nice to stitch Christmas design.

What to say ??? I’m really speechless. Just would like to convey my sincere thank to Lody who really kind to let me have this grateful feeling by having a gorgeous cushion cover and also a bunch of wonderful goodies. Beside, I also want to say sorry to all the trouble that you face while joining this exchange. Hope this will not stop you from joining any exchange organize by the group especially you will be match with me as your partner again .. :)

Not forget to say THANK YOU to Margaret who take the responsibilities in resend the package to me. TERIMA KASIH SEKALUNG BUDI.

EMS Round Robin is back ....

I received back my EMS RR from Niesa this afternoon. This is the 3rd RR that I join. So happy and very kind of Niesa offer herself to finished the last square that suppose to finished by one of the member .. I can't remember her name that pull out last minute.

This is a first RR that I join organised by EMS Cross Stitch Board and I choose Babies in Animal Costumes as my theme. I finished my square and send it to Ramona, USA and then to Karen, Australia and back to me. It was done in 2005 and only now the last square was finished by Niesa.

This is what I stitch .. a cow baby. It's he is so cute. Now this piece is ready to frame .. yippie ..

What I've been busy lately ????

I've been busy stitching my 3 things sampler for the past few day. It's really enjoy but a little bit stress when I saw some of the chart was printed wrongly .. I mean a lot of misscount especially when I stitch the leave on both site.

For those who want to work on this chart, you have to see real carefully as some of the box was printed wrongly. The sad thing is after you have done the stitching, only then you realise that the chart has some misscount by seeing the design on the left and right are totally difference. Normally the motive will be stitch repeat but after finish stitching you really can see the mistake. I having a hard time to reopen the box that been stitch and restitch again.

Anyway, mistake by mistake, here is the latest view on my 3 things sampler and I'm half way done on the chart. Hope to put more on my piece and finish it soon. Take a look.

Mattress Pincushion ...

My frist try on masttress pincushion is done. I'm not really satisfied with the result because the pincushion look a bit flat. Maybe the side part that I sew to join both front and back of the pinchusion is too small so the pincushion doesn't look yummy ..*wink.

I would like to show everyone on my finished piece of Nature’s Beauty that I have done this morning. It is so please to see the finished piece and I just love the Little House Needlework design. It is simple yet so meaningful and I can’t insist my self from stitch and stitch the chart until finished.

I think I going to use her design as a guideline for me to come out with some of design that I wish to create especially on some of the phrase and wording that we usually use in our routine life. With her simple alphabet on both designs that I stitch (Home of a Needleworker and Nature’s Beauty) I roughly got an idea to do a simple design for myself .... *wink and hopefully this in not just a dream ... lol.

I was happy to announce that I’ve received my NNCC Exchange from BJ. Yeap .. My partner is BJ and I was informed that she sends the card to me last Monday using registered mail and here you go.

What a beautiful card that she made. The material was provided by Ying who organised this exchange for Needle & Crafts group and everyone of us who participate need to come out with our own creativity to finished it into a card.

Here I present to you a beautiful card made by BJ although she informed me that she don’t have much idea about card making.

On top of that I also received a wonderful early Christmas Ornament from her in reds. So neat, BJ and I just love it. Now I’m hanging the ornament at my office partition and all my colleague say it is a beautiful finished piece. Thank you so much.

Last but not least, I also received my 5 threads of Carrie’s Creations Thread that BJ promise to send to me once I’m done with my “Ä Bouquet for Cherly” competition. Wow wee … all the thread was so colorful and I can’t wait to use it to stitch some of my project soon. I get in return a thread call Tropical, Thanksgiving, Sherbert, New Vision and Over The Rainbow as you can see from below pic. Isn’t the thread was so colorful …. and all is for me … :) (with a smiling face).

My card is on the way to Ulla from Sweden. I'm late to send out the card to her. The due date suppose to be on September 30th, 2007 but I can't make it to post office so I post it on October 1st, 2007 using registered mail. Hopefully she will love the card that I make to her.

I just feel like to stitch some chat from Little House Needleworks , so I choose "Nature's Beauty" that I bought sometime back from Jean. I started it though, over two on 18 count Aida.

This is how the Nature's Beauty is at least half way done ! This time the house was finished fast .. I think maybe because it is not in brown color ... *wink. Will try to put some more stitch tonight.

I was taking 2 days sick leave due to my eye red for the pass Thursday and Friday so I fully use all my time by shopping the suitable fabric to finished this piece. This is the result. Hi everyone !! Thank you all for your comment and yes, I really enjoy working and stitching on "A Bouquet for Cheryl" and hopefully can finished it into something soon.

At last my pc is working well. I try to update on my 1826 sampler since yesterday but I can't do it. My pc always got hang and give a lot of trouble while I try to transfer the photo to my pc.

This is my latest installment on 1826 sampler. Yippiee ... I can say that I was really satisfied with the outcome so far and the mix and match on the thread between 112 and 310 was done pretty well. At least it turn out really antique look for me and can't wait to stitch the other motive.

Wow .. I'm doing a happy dance now !!! Yeehaa ... Please join me stitchers outside there ...

I'm happy to report that as 13th September 2007 at 11.30 pm this project which was organised by Barbara Jack(BJ) of NNC Group as a competition (ending on 31/12/07) has been officially completed. I really feel relief now and I have time to concentrate and try complete other project that is still in progress.

I wish to convey my special thanks to BJ who organise this competition and let me to have a chance to stitch this design using Carrie's Thread .. a thread that I never try before. I'm happy to informed that I'm happy with the result and really nice working the chart using the thread and I will definitely choose the thread again in my next project if there is any in future.

Yuhooo ... at last, I have something to report on my "A Bouquet for Cheryl". I've enjoy myself throughout my weekend to work on part 2 and 3 of the chart. Very encouranging WIP so far and here is the pic of the design. Actually is part 2 and 4. The part 3 suppose to be on the bottom left.

Hopefully I can complete it within this week. Hahaha .. such a big dream .. but I think .. I can make it ... *wink. Have to think positive right. LHN complete !!

I'm happy to inform that my Little House Needlework - Home of a Needleworker is completed. Actually it complete last Thursday 30.08.07 but I don't have time to post it on my blog.

I was sick for the last 4 days and can't do anything. My body was shiver, very cold and just spent my time at mattress sleeping ... cover with 2 blankets. Everybody was happy celebrating Independent Day on the August 31st, 2007 but me hopeless ... ha ha ha. Can't doing anything. Pity my 2 sons have to spent the time with mummy who not feeling well.

Anyway, as promise this is the finished piece that I talking about. Cool ha ... it take me only 6 days to finished it. Actually can finished more early then that but unfortunaly the color that being choose / use on the house really slow me down. It's only take one color but I couldn't finished it soon because of coklat, the color that I hate most.

I send the piece to framer yesterday and he say that I can collect it today. So, I use my lunch break today just to go there and collect it ... and I happy to see the result.

Tara ... check out the pic below. Very nice and beautiful. I choose a black frame just like the one that choose by Diane Williams on this piece and it match really well. I love it. Another finished XS collection for me ... yahoooo ... Now the chart is ready to post it out to Nik.

Hemm .. been busy lately. What am I working on at the moment ??? This is it. I got the Little House Needleword chart call "Home of a Needlecrafter" from Lillie last Friday afternoon. This is the part of Sisterhood Stitching (SHS) project organise by Nik from Needles & Crafts group. The chart was offer by Jean.

I start it over the weekend and now the chart is almost 90% complete. I going to finished it tonight and post the pic tomorrow. Hope to send the chart out to Nik soon as she will be the next person on queue to stitch it.

Hello everyone !!! I'm back. You all must be bored seeing the same post from me. Have not update my stitching progress nearly a month.

Happy that my son, Jarey is recover and now doing well with his new nanny. Everyday seeing him smile and he learn a lot especially know how to walk using walker. Now, mummy can feel a little bit relax and happy to see his changes. Manage to find some time to do my stitching expecially on my 1826 Sampler, 3 things sampler and many more.

Here I going to update on my Cushion Cover Exchange (CCE). After checking from Needles and Crafts group database, I found out that Emily, my partner for this exchange has received the CCE that I send to her. The mailout date is on August 15th, 2007 and I mail it out one day earlier using Post Express. Now it is save for me to post the pic of the CCE that I make for her. This is the first exchange that I take part and organise by me for the group.

Without further do, here I post the pillow cushion that I stitch for Em. The design was taken from Tantes Zolder. It's 10" x 10" and I've finished it with a little patch work. My first try on patchwork and still have a lot of way to improve. Hope Emily will not dissapoint to received it .. *wink.

This and that ...

I actually done have that mood to stitch lately. Ya .. I have a very difficult time last week on Friday when my youngest son, Jarey was admitted to hospital. Due to a very bad cough and a lot of mucus inside his throat, he can't breath well. I have no choice but have to send him to hospital.

My heart feel like shouting and tear fall when I saw the doctor insert the tube from his norse and mouth to suck all the mucus out from his throat. Oh my God !! He is still young and have to suffer from all those pain. Shouting mum .. mum asking for help and seeing his daddy face seeking him to realease him from the treatment, but hopeless. Only God know how his mummy and daddy feel that moment.

Now his is recover a little and I'm happy for him. But he still need to go for the follow up. I hope to get a good nanny just to look after him and take a good care of him.

While taking care of him, I just finish stitching my piece for Cushion Cover Exchange and now all I need to do is finished it into cusion cover. Just a simple pattern and hopefully my partner will happy for it. Beside that I also start A Bouquet For Cheryl just a few day ago. This is the result. I join a competition organize by BJ and the competition it's closed now. Hemm .. the result is not bad. I think some of you still remember my own hand-dye fabric using nescafe ...lol. Actually I need a black fabric to stitch this chart but I can't wait to dye a new one so I just use what ever I have now to stitch this. It look good although will be much better if I stitch using black fabric right. Anyway, happy for is as well ...

I have done another pouch. This one definitely is for me and I carry the pouch every way I go .. to keep my handphone, key and money. Easy way for me to carry little thing when I want to go out for lunch during my working hour. So convinience :).

Hello everyone !! I really thankful to have all of you who visit my blog often and give a wonderful support and encourage comment to all my work. Thank you .. thank you.

Yesterday was a busy day for me as I was on leave and taking care of my youngest son, Jarey who have his 5 months old immunication injection. Since the 3 in 1 injuction will cause a fever, so I decided to take care him myself rather then sent him to nursery. So during the busy day I manage to finished an origami pocket pouch. This is real fun and it take me less then 30 minute to finished it.

While Jarey is sleeping, his mummy is busy doing this pouch. Very simple and easy to make. Just follow the tutorial provided by Myra. Don't want to talk much. Please have a look on my cute pouch about 5"x"5" size. My sister grap it once I finished doing it. Hemmm .. how can I say know when I actually can make other one for myself ... *wink.

Beside the pouch, I also hand-dye some fabric. I bought a black dye a few weeks ago and I would like to dye a 18ct white Aida into black color. But I was sad because it turn out to be blue color. The bottle for show that it is a black color of dye but it is not. Really dissappointed with the result because I would like to have a black 18ct Aida to do my next project. See the result below.

Well, I didn't give up and I take my 16ct White Aida to dye it again and hope to get black color for this time. Since I don't have black dye, I use nescafe that I have at home and I start hand-dye the Aida. At first it was good .. Its really black as what I want but when I soak it with vineger and water, oh my God, it turn out to be cream color. What an unlucky day .. sob .. sob. Anyway, I also love this finished piece and maybe I will decided to use it. See the result of my hand-dye 16ct nescafe Aida. Sound so funny ... ha ha ha.

Just one question, anybody can teach me to make a marble look on the fabric that we dye. I just love the look with a different tone in one color. Any tutorial that can guide me ??

Another happy news is I received a Carrie's Threads I order from BJ a weeks ago. I just love the color and maybe some of you may wonder why I get a lot of Sunburst thread. Actually I signing up a competition organise by BJ and I choose Sunburst to finished a chart call "A Bouquet for Cheryl". If you want to know more you can read it here.

My progress so far over the weekend. I left it aside almost 3 weeks as I work on my 1826 Sampler and TdF. Now I'm back with this sampler and just finish the alphabet until Q. Take a look.

Apart from that, I also stitch this small design call "tulip". It's a freebie from Pamela Kelogg. The color was just stunning and need to do something on this small piece.

Really jumping happily when I got it just now and a little bit dissapointed as the chart was being bend. I have order 1 chart from LHN call Nature's Beauty and Forget-Me-Knot by The Prairie Schooler. Wow .. just thinking now, when I going to start it as a lot of WIP is around ... hemm .. but for sure I will find sometime to stitching it.

I also bought some D & T thread from Niza. Isn't the threads look so yummy. Also get red DMC thread and button for the next thing that I want to do ...

Hi everyone !!! I am so grateful for your visits and your comments. Thank you .. thank you.

As for BJ, this is what I going to finish with this Stitching Angel. I always wanted to try and make a bourse for myself. From all the tutorial that I study, it wasn't hard to make it. So I decided to make a small bourse just to keep my coin .. as this is what a bourse for.

A little story about this bourse. Bourse in French is for pourch or purse. They call it "bourses" because they became popular when French Au Fil des Reves design called Bourse maison de brodeuse was published.

This is what I've done. Not really satisfied with my first try because the size of the bourse was too small and turn out not in my expectition. Anyway, it's very cute and I can store a lot of coin inside ... *wink. Ha ha ha .. just to alleviate my dissatisfaction. I didn't put a button on the bourse because I think for this bourse is not necessary as I mention earlier that the bourse is too small and it doesn't make any attraction to have it.

Now ... it's up to you to judge it but photo always doesn't show the actual look. It's sometime will look beautiful or rather very ugly but I still love it. Tara ... my first attempt on a bourse.

I feel like jumping when I received a parcel today. I know the parcel is from Angie. I ask her favor to get me the Orietal Odyssey book and it's in my hand now.

I keep browsing the book and can't stop myself from saying wow ... I wanna do this .. I wanna do that. What can I say .. Joan Elliott is too talented and I just love all the design that store in the book. Now all I need is time to stitch all wonderful and gorgeous design inside. From kimono to calligraphy, flowers, fan and feng shui art ... all was design in detail and bringing a sense oe peace and harmony to our everyday environment.

The sensuous colours of luxurious silk, theheady scent of spring flowers, the simple beauty of a flowing stream - all conjure up images of the Orient. This collection of designs brings those sensibilities to the art of cross stitch.

I'll never regret to have it as my collection of cross stitch book :)

Still in purple mood. Here is another finished chart that I’ve done yesterday. It was a freebie from Tantes Zolder and I just stitch the middle design that can fit in the square that I already counted.

Both purple pieces I going to finished it into biscornu and hopefully it will turn out well as I never use this variegation thread before. Tara... It is simple and easy to finish. Try it out and I'm sure you will like it.

Today I was so happy to received the Cross Stitch Collection magazine issue 144 that Azie help me to get it. Wow... this issue is so cool and a lot of beautiful design include inside especially my favorate designer Jane Greenoff and Joan Elliott.

I know this 2 designers will come out something for this issue by purchasing the 143 issue. Sure I'm not going to miss out this issue and special thanks goes to Azie and Angie who help me to get this 2 months issue.

Come let peep inside to see the wonderful design by all the talented designer and I'm sure that most of stitchers outside there going to make it as one of the 'to-do-list' in their stitching diary. Check it out.

The first design that I really like is Love's Promise. Love's promise is that as each day together goes by, difficulties shared are eased and happiness shared is doubled. This is an exclsive design from Joan Elliott's Cross Stitch Wit & Wisdom book for David & Charles.

Those who wish to make it as an anniversary give, this is it. This anniversary sampler speaks of the wisdom and power of abiding love.

This design was called "Flowers of Britain" by Jane Greenoff part 2. Those who collect the previous issue will have the first part of her design. The heirloom map was stunning with the flower and butterflies map.

Progress report on 1826 Sampler !!!

Hello everyone !!!

Yeah ... I'm looking forward to start this 1826 Sampler on the June 1st as we (Zohrah, Margaret, Emily, Rose & me) agree to do it as an SAL. Since today is 5th June, 2007, so I going to report my progress on the sampler for 5 days I'm busy working on it. This week I will fully occupied my time to stitch this sampler and next week will be for Terre de France project.

I just love the combination of this two color and it's match each other very well. Very slow progress and didn't manage to finished the first design. Althought the chart was look very simple, but I keep on doing mistake by miscount the boxes ... errrr ... have to restitch again and that make me waste a lot of time. Anyway, better then nothing .. here is the progress so far and hope to done more this few day.

Beside that, I would like to wish Happy Belated Birthday to Deb. I suppose to wish you on the June 1st but as you already know that I'm not arround as I was celebrating the Harvest Festival at my hubby village. Wishing you a whole lotta happiness & sweet surprises !!

Hi everyone !

First of all, thanks for visiting my blog (as usual) and left wonderful and encouraging comments. I appreciated it much.

Another progress report on my 3 things sampler. Not much finishing as I busy doing something else beside stitching this sampler. Here is some part that I've finished and yet to finished from the first row of the sampler. That is not a actual size of the sampler as I fold the fabric into half. That why you can see the border from the bottom part of the sampler.

I've make 2 scissor fobs that I wanted to get it done for so long. The combination color was turning out so well and I love both. This is my first try to make a scissor fob using bead and I like it. Hemm.. let see ... maybe I can change it and hang it on my handphone beside using it as a scissor fobs as I have two here. Which one to decide ???

Ok .. the first one I choose red color because I bought the red love shape buttons and beads for sometime back and I didn't utilize it. Then I decide to make something useful rather then let the button and beads sitting on my stash box unused. This is it ... nice ha ... lol .. at least for me and my sister would love to have it but ... opppsss sorry ..... I only manage to make one and I promise to make another one for her ...

The second one is in green color. I love the green bead and also love the sun charm, a birthday exchange gift that I get from Ina. It make the whole scissor fob look perfect and this one is also for me ... lol. That all from now and I will love to show all of you my next product that I make from beads.

Hi everyone !

I have not posting any of my stitching progress this few day. Also not going to update on my 1826 Sampler as this project will be SAL together with Margaret Wong, Emily, Rose and Zohrah at NNC. So happy to hear that 5 of us have to do it together on June 1st lead by Margaret. At least we will encourage and be inspire one another to each and everyone progress ... week by week *wink.

Since I'm waiting to start the 1826 Sampler on the 1st June, I decided to stitch another sampler. Wow .. I was really into sampler mood nowaday after I join French Sampler SALs group. A lot of finished sampler sew by the member of the group really inspire me a lot and here I come.

I'm please to show you my 3 Things Sampler ... another sampler that was on my "to-do-list". I stop myself from joining any of the exchange organize by any group that I join so I can concentrate with all this beautiful sampler that I want to stitch for myself.

This is how the whole piece will look when it finished. Is the sampler look great.

Sarawak - Colonial District !!!

As promise, here I post again some information on Sarawak for those who love to know more especially Lizzy, Chelle and Susimac who looking forward to my next installment.

Here goes :

There are many old buildings in the Colonial District of Kuching which survived World War II.

FORT MARGHERITA

Completed in 1879, Fort Margarita commands a breathtaking and strategic position along the Sarawak River, with a location chosen to overlook the long stretch of river approaching Kuching. Named after the second Rajah, Charles Brooke's wife, the Ranee Margaret, it was built in the defensive edifice/castle style of the late English renaissance. Fort Margherita has been converted into a Police Museum and many of its old cannons, cannon balls, guns, pistols, swords and other vestiges of its artillery can still be seen. The armoury still exists as does the condemned prisoner's cell. The Police Museum has a display of old police weapons, reconstructed opium dens and scenes of hanging and other forms of criminal punishment.

THE ASTANA

The Astana which lies in regal splendour accross the river, is a majestic building with romantic history. The second Rajah, Charles Brooke, built this palace in 1870 as a birdal gift for his wife, the Ranee Margaret. Then known as the Goverment House, it is actually three separate buildings fused into one, with each connected to the other by short and narrow passageways. First occupied by Charles Brooke in 1870, it was the private residence of the second Rajah. It has undergone substantial alterations and renovations and is today the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri, the Governor of Sarawak.

SARAWAK STEAMSHIP BUILDING

Built in 1930, this was previously the office and warehouse of the Sarawak Steamship company. Extensively restored, its now houses a restaurant, a fast food outlet and a convenience store.

GENERAL POST OFFICE

This 1931 building stands out majestically with its imposing neoclassical style and impressive Corinthian columns. In contrast to its ornate facade with semi-circular arches, ornamental columns capitals and friezes, the back of the building is plain and unadorned. Deep parapet walls of plain design hide the pitched root. A colonnaded portico serves as a corridor in front of the building. This will soon be converted into the Sarawak Art Museum.

THE COURT HOUSE

The Court House was built in 1874 to bring together all government offices and be the venue for all state ceremonies. State council meetings were held here from the fifth council meeting in 1878 until 1973. Befitting its status, this is an impressive building with belian (iron wood) roof and is decorated with beautiful engravings reflecting local art form. It now houses the High Court, the Magistrate's Court and several government departments. Back in 1847, this was originally the site of a missionary which was turned into a judicial administration office. It was demolised in 1858 and two more buildings were put up in its place before the Court House came into being.

ROUND TOWER

Constructed in 1886, the reason for the building of the Round Tower remains a mystery. Because of its structure, it is claimed the building was meant to serve as a fort in an emergency. Instead it became the Dispensary and was then used by the Labour Department until 1980. It now houses a section of the Judicary department. In earlier days, the Round Tower was strategically located to provide an excellent view of the town.

THE PAVILION

Next to the Round Tower is The Pavilion, which was built in 1909. Regarded as something of an architectural enigma, its design is reminiscent of buildings in the sounthern states of America - a mixture of late English renaissancce and colonial architecture. It served as a General Hospital until 1947. Now, the building is turned into a textile museum.

SQUARE TOWER

Built in 1879 as a detention camp for prisoners, the square tower was later converted into a fortress and then a dance hall. Today it is a multimedia information centre and video theatre providing information on Sarawak's tourist attraction.

I love drinking nescafe. I guess I'm addicted but I don't care. My mind doesn't seem function well if I don't take a cup of nescafe everyday.

I like to watch love story - movies / drama especially on Korean Drama. My favorate Korean Drama at this moment is "Save Your Last Dance For Me".
I enjoy guiding and was a brownies before and now I become a leader ... love to camping, hiking, doing gadget, camp fire and many more girl guides activity.
I'll be celebrating my 8 years anniversary this coming June 2007.
My favorate colors is blue since most of the nature color in blue .. the cloud, the ocean .. hemm ... what else.

Today I work on night shift, so I have plenty of time this morning to do my XS project. Since I already cut my fabric for Vierlande - 1826 Sampler, so I decided to stitch it today. I'm still play around with the two threads that I choose so I could have a wonderful sampler when it is finished later.

This is the outcome of my experiment today. Is the DMC Black and DMC 115 match very well. Please give some opinion friend. Hemm ... I kinda like the sampler very much and hope to stitch some more tomorrow. Will upload some progress soon.

Hi everyone ! Thank you for the wonderful respond and comment to my last post.

I was so happy to informed everyone that I will going to start another sampler ... ya ya ya ... I know, my Terre de France haven't finished but already have a big heart to start a new one. Anyway, I just can't stand it. I can't wait to finished the Terre de France and start this pieces.

I would like to thanks to my sister who bought me this wonderful chart as a gift for Mothers Day. Such a sweet sister who know her big sister interest on XS very well. Isn't this chart was so wonderful. I actually wanna post the surprise gift here but I have been really busy lately. Guess what, I didn't know the surprise gift was a sampler that I saw from Margaret post on Needles And Crafts group a few weeks back. I was chatting with her and post the pic to her and telling her how I really ... really love the chart. Suddenly it was on my table yesterday and give me such a big suprise. Thanks my dear. Muahhhh ....

I'm going to use 16ct White Aida to stitch this chart . I choose DMC 115 and DMC Black .... hemm .... why ??? ..... just to get an antique sampler style on it. The chart, I have counted, is 333 x 283. I gonna work it using 2 stands.

A bit of the Sampler. The sampler was embroidered primarily with black silk thread on 16ct unbleached linen. The embroiderer worked only very few stitches in red/violet silk. The sampler originated in Vierlanden, a small vegetable growing region south-east of Hamburgin northern Germany. The original sampler is now displayed in the German Embroidery Museum in Celle.

My Wonderful Sarawak !!!

After taking Deb suggestion, I would like to talk about my hometown .. Sarawak, one of the biggest state in Malaysia to those who never been here. I was born and stay in Sarawak and now I was proudly bring to you my wonderful place for you to know my country better.

Malaysia, truly Asia: Melting pot of cultures, religions, and a vacationers paradise where you can experience a whole gamut of Asian sights, tastes and sounds. Endowed with magnificent scenic wonders and a colourful thriving cosmopolitan elegance, with rainforests dating back 130 million years that still retain their ancient splendors while bustling cities and towns boasts of modern day sophistication.

Malaysia consists of 13 states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan which is an island off the coast of Sabah over in East Malaysia.

Sarawak is one of the biggest state where I'm living is best known as the land of vastness: Vast mass of land, vast ethnic diversity and vast natural wonders. With three quarter of its landmass still covered with the world's oldest tropical rainforests and latticed with rivers and tributaries, it is home to weird and fascinating plants and animals: deer the size of cats, big nosed and big bellied Proboscis monkeys, fly eating pitcher plants, the world's largest flower, lizards and squirrels that fly, and many others.

And now this is the best part, the place that I stay .... know as Kuching, one of 9 division that can be found in Sarawak (refer to the Sarawak map above).

INTRODUCTION

Kuching, the capital (which means "Cat" in Malay), is without doubt the most pleasant and interesting city in Borneo. It is hilly, leafy and has a very pleasant riverside area. The river is a focal point of the town and features a graceful, European style esplanade- the Kuching waterfront, with views across to the Astana (the Palace), and Fort Margherita.

The town contains many beautifully landscaped parks and gardens, historic buildings, traditional Chinese shop houses, colourful markets, various Chinese temples, a striking state mosque and has one of Asia’s best museums.

HISTORY

At the beginning of the 19th century, Sarawak was a typical Malay principality, under the control of the Sultan of Brunei. Apart from occasional piracy on the coast and headhunting in the interior; Sarawak was peaceful. All of this changed when the Sultan of Brunei appointed a hugely unpopular Governor. The Malays and Bidayuhs of the Sarawak River revolted in 1836 and declared independence. An ugly guerrilla war ensued, which continued until 1839, when James Brooke, a young, wealthy Englishman arrived on the scene in his well-armed yacht, The Royalist.

Brooke set himself up as a freelance adventurer and the Sultan’s uncle immediately asked him to help put down the rebellion. Brooke readily agreed. The spears and muskets of the rebels were no match for a modern warship and the conflict soon ended. As a reward, the grateful Sultan made Brooke the Rajah of Sarawak in 1841. Brooke was not content to rule over a small riverside town, and set out to pacify his new kingdom, with the help of the British Navy. At the time of his death in 1868, Sarawak was a relatively peaceful territory covering the area between Tanjung Datu (which is now the Indonesian border) and Kuching.

James Brooke’s nephew Charles, who succeeded him, was no adventurer like his uncle, but an excellent administrator and politician. He set up a proper system of government, gradually expanding his area of control until it formed the present day Sarawak. His legacy is everywhere in Kuching. It was he who built the Astana, Fort Margherita, the Courthouse, the Sarawak Museum and many other fine buildings. Charles Brooke died in 1917, and was succeeded by his son, Charles Vyner Brooke, who built on his father’s achievements and improved the general administration of the state. In 1941 he set up State Council to oversee the passing of new laws, bringing the first stirrings of democracy to Sarawak. The rule of the State Council was short-lived, as the Japanese invaded at the end of the same year.

When the Japanese surrendered in September 1945, Sarawak came under Australian military administration. Vyner Brooke felt the state would be better off as a colony and ceded it to Britain. This move was very unpopular and resulted in the assassination of the Governor, Duncan Stewart, in 1949. Order was eventually restored and the colonial administration concentrated on preparing Sarawak for independence. In 1963, Sarawak and Sabah gained independence by joining with Malaya to form the new nation of Malaysia.

I hope everyone have a wonderful weekend as I do. On Saturday evening, I finished a tote. At first, I was not sure whether I manage to done it or not. After seeing all the tutorial that I've read and study, then I manage to get back my spirit to start on it. This is a really good site to show a clear tutorial to finished a bag and that help me a lot.

I was fall in love at first side when I first saw this design at Su blog. It was so simple yet so gorgeous. When I read Su blog, it was an ABC exchange by Svenja. I try to surf and I manage to get it. It was a freebie from Blue Ribbon Designs.

Guess what, the best part for me is I use my own hand dye floss to stitch this piece and it was turn out nicely. The floss is combo between blue, yellow and green. Hemm .. I have something in mind that I gonna finished this into something. Beside this, there still have a lot of wonderful chart that you can download it free from BRD and if anyone of you love the soft and light color, this is it ... a site that you gonna love it. New hobby !!!

I try out hand dye a floss by my self follow the tutorial from here. Unlucky me as I only manage to get 3 colours of the dye .. green, blue and yellow. Anyway, for the first try, I thing this 3 colours should be enough. I can't wait to get others colour and try to hand dye more variety of floss. I will definitely going to use this colour for my other XS project that need me to use multi-colour thread.

Althought the outcome is not so fantastic that I want, but I guess this should be good enough for the beginner like me. Here you go my first attempt on hand dye floss ...

The part 8 is completed and now I'm move on to part 9. So happy to see the progress is keeping up fast and I can't wait to see the whole finished story .. But I know it's still have long way to go ... 16 parts to go ..... pheww .........

I also finished a small pillow a few days ago but I haven't got time to update it on the blog. Just a simple design and fast to stitch. Lillie, I guess you must be familiar with the pink fabric that I use to the pillow. Yes, it was from you .. a birthday exchange gift organise by Nik for Malaysian Stitchers group. It really match because the fabric got the heart shape on it ... suit to the Lizzie Kate that I stitch.

The Woodland Joy, I've finished it into an ornament. After seeing the Ornament Instructions from Dani I try it out. It was so interesting and easy to finished. But still need some improvement. The cord is not stick well into the ornament but it's hidden well from the pic.

Bag ...

I has try to sew a bag ... a not so big bag. After visiting a lot of friend blog, it really inspire me and make me feel wanna try to make one for my self. Since this is my first try to make a bag, so I just use the blue fabric, the left over material after I make a bellfull for Harsha long time ago. I also just happened to have the perfect light blue for the lining already in my stash.

I saw a pockets inside the bag - two small ones on one side....

and a large one on the other to keep my handphone of course.

I had two button that I bought .. the colour of the button was so match with the fabric but unfortunately I don't feel like it when I sew to the bag. It seem like the bottom was so small ... don't you think so. I gonna hunt for the new button to replace this one to make the bag look more good.

Long WIP Project ....

I would like to update my very long WIP project. It was almost turn into UFO already ... lol. Anyway, after starting to stitch it last night, I get excited back to stitch it and I can't stop my hand to stitch and stitch.

This is it ... Terre de France a freebie from Creations Annick Abrial for the year 2004. Just terminate the freebie for everyone download in January 2007.

It has 24 parts all together and hopefully I manage to finished it. It was once a SAL project organize by Malaysian_Stitchers group. I guess other member who join this SAL already finished it for long time ago. Shame .... shame ...

At the moment, this is the whole look for my piece. I will make sure that I stitch at least 1 part for one weeks or a months the worst.

How is my new blog look like ? I change my blog to a new blogger using Google Account. It was so easy using this new version and more friendly user.

I'm sorry that all the message posted by friend to all my stitching piece was deleted and I can't paste it to my new blog. Anyway, I love the new look of my blog ... more cheerful and more color.

Sincere thanks to all friends who always visit my blog and pop in to give a nice word in my message. This will definitely burn my spirit on stitching and hopefully I can post more on my work.

Bellpull

Since today I have a little free time, I thought I have to update something. If not I feel guilty to myself ... at least by updating my progress will motivate me to stitch ... and stitch more. But I understand that stitching will not be the first priority for me now .. as I have my baby that need more attention from me and also my 7 years old boy who now is in primary one.

As promise ... tara my finished piece. It's a bellpull. I never finished any bellpull for myself. Only manage to do so but for exchange. This is my first bellpull for myself and now it is proudly hanging on the wall.

Hi .. I'm back !!!

Hi everyone !!! I hope you all will be happy and enjoy in whatever you all do. I certainly did. Thanks for all the wonderful compliment, friend. It has been so long that I didn't update anything on the blog since the last time I visit the blog. What can I say ... I really ... really enjoy my leave especially spending my time together with my new born baby ... JAREY ADRIANO.

Today he is 68 days old. I still remember the first day he came out ... that was really surprise me because doctor who scan him comfirmed that he is a girl. Luckily I didn't get anything first for him as I thought my due date is still far away. But because of the diabetes that I get during my pregnancy make him to come out early ... much ..... much early then I thought. He is only 36 weeks at that moments and I was happy that he choose to come out naturely rather then the doctor force him out using medicine.

Isn't he is cute. He smile a lot now.

I can see he grow very fast but unfortunately I have to start my work today. I have no choice but to send him to nursery and this morning he is still sleeping when I send him there. Really have no choice for me to left him there but what can I do ... I believe he will use to it later and will happy there as his brother Jason also there.

Jarey ... I believe that God above created you for me to love.
